“Up For The Challenge” – 24 y/o Looking Forward At QPR As He Signs New Deal

|

One of the questions on Queens Park Rangers fans minds this summer was whether or not goalkeeper Seny Dieng would pen the new contract we had put on the table for him at the end of the 2018/19 campaign.

The 24-year-old is yet to make his debut for QPR but he’s gained good experience in recent times, spending the first half of the year out on loan with Stevenage (16 starts) before spending the rest of the campaign north of the border with Dundee where he took in a further 18 games.

Now back with us this summer, the player has inked his new deal and sees himself contracted up at Loftus Road until the summer of 2020/21 and he does have his eyes on that first team shirt, even though he faces competitions from Joe Lumley and summer arrival Liam Kelly.

Speaking to the Official Site after signing the extension, he explained.

“I am delighted to sign a new deal. I have really enjoyed my time here already so am very happy to extend my stay. My recent loan spells were vital for me. It gave me the opportunity to play regular first-team football and now I am ready to kick on here.”

Adding.

“They are both great goalkeepers but I am up for the challenge.”

At least that’s another question mark gone as we look to next season.
